Basura is a six-piece Latin punk-ska based out of Fresno, CA. Founded in early ’96 and after some years of sabbatical BASURA rejoined in 2008. BASURA has shared the stage with VOODOO GLOW SKULLS, LOS STRAITJACKETS, RATA BLANCA, CHICO TRUJILLO, BOCAFLOJA, NEBLINA, CHENCHA BERRINCHES, BANG DATA and a bunch of Central Valley bands. They have been part of several festivals including the FUSE FEST,SALINAS MUSIC & ARTS SUMMIT, APERIRE ARTS FESTIVAL and THE LATIN MUSIC INVASION TOUR.
BASURA is known for their Catchy lyrics, fast paced punk riffs and smooth horn lines. All of these things are the core of the band. It is encouraged to bring a LUCHADOR mask, wear it during ‘VAMOS A LAS LUCHAS’ and join us in the mosh pit.
