Wednesday night The Dirty Dowdy Podcast kicked off 2016 with Fresno Radio Royalty. John Ostlund, creator of KJWL and KYNO and now owner of New Rock 104.1, among others, joined the #DDPLive crew in the Longbox.FM studio. And to make it more interesting, Riley’s Brewing supplied us with a scotch beer too strong for any mortal man.
We learned some things early on in the show. And Dowdy announced his new #MakeFresnoBetter movement for 2016.
Alex continued the show with a fresh Celebrity Clambake for 2016 without saying But Uh.
Then we talked with John and got his history in valley radio, where he sees it now and where it needs to go in the future for it to survive. Also, Mole Star got fired. You will have to listen to know why.
Keeping with the theme, we played an advertising game where the crew had to come up with taglines for 19 products, both real and somewhat real. John judged and gave his opinions on the advertising skill of the group.
